Senchant’s Art of Teaching is owned and operated by Bernard “Senchant™” Birgenheier and Marian Birgenheier. Their joy and love for teaching is infectious, and the result is astounding. We teach serious musicians of all ages and levels. Our staff consists of the best musicians/educators in Norfolk County. As a result, we attract exceptionally talented and hard-working students.

Bernard has taught guitar since 1991 and opened Senchant’s Art of Teaching out of passion and a need for a better music school for the public in 2014. Since moving to Boston in 1994, he has been a national touring musician, a session player (BOS, NYC, LA, SBC) and has studied Film Scoring and Guitar Performance at Berklee College of Music!! His Film Scoring studies (composition dating back to Bach!) can not only teach you how to play classical music, but compose in all time periods, Baroque to current 21st Century modern. Other styles he plays and loves teaching are; Jazz, Blues, Metal, Rock, Funk, Pop, Country, Flamenco and World, such as Soukous and Kompa. He was the top paid and most versatile teacher at Daddy’s Junky Music (they had the biggest and best private lesson program in the Northeast). Bernie teaches all alternate tunings, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 string, (nylon to electric), and has invented 8 guitar tunings since he has been a student of the six string guitar! See Mirror Tuning®
