Born and raised in this town you all may know called Canton, MA, Amanda was lucky enough to be surrounded by music since she was a kid. Fleetwood Mac was the only thing that would calm her, and growing up she slept to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons playing off of her pink CD player every night. Later in her life, starting as early as fourth grade with the violin, she was able to actively participate in all of the aspects she’d grown to love.
She recently graduated from Loyola University of New Orleans, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Industry Studies. She further got to explore every side of the music world by taking classes in conducting, music theory, music history, orchestration, entertainment law, and musicianship.
Aside from all of the “good on paper” endeavors through study she endured, Amanda also continued her love of performing by actively participating in collegiate and local classical orchestras, an original indie rock band, multiple theatre productions, and live recordings. She earned first chair for 3 consecutive years in the Loyola Symphony, and played as second chair for the Symphony of New Orleans. She has traveled extensively from Los Angeles to Amsterdam with the one woman play titled “Two Elizas”. She has also performed at many New Orleans festivals and venues with her band, including the French Quarter Festival.
She is so excited to join the Senchant family, and is looking forward to encouraging her students to embrace the same love for music she has had the pleasure of nurturing for hers!
