“I have tried to learn how to play the guitar many times over the years. It never really worked out. When my kids were out of the house, I decided to finally learn how to play and went looking for a school that welcomed adult students. Luckily I found Bernie and SAT. I have had many different guitar teachers. They were great, but I never clicked with them. Bernie is different. Bernie is passionate about the guitar, about his students and about his school. He wants you to succeed. He wants you to love and respect guitar playing as much as he does. And Bernie is not only a master guitar player, he is a master teacher. His joy in the guitar is infectious. His skills are incomparable. With Bernie, I have made more progress than ever before. He makes the complex simple. He makes the guitar accessible. Bernie is a flexible teacher and will develop individual lesson plans for his students. I feel I have direct input into my sessions with him.
Bottom line: if you want to learn how to play the guitar, take lessons from Bernie. He is Berklee trained, has played professionally, is the consummate professional and can draw on all this experience and make it accessible to his students.
I consider Bernie my teacher and my friend. Call him to learn how to play guitar.”

“I highly recommend Bernie for both adults and kids. He is a gifted guitar teacher. He is a total pro and absolutely passionate about music. His love for music is shown in his enthusiasm and and energetic teaching techniques. He is exceedingly patient and encouraging. He rocks!”

“Senchant’s is the place to go to learn an instrument. I found about Bernie from a guy I saw playing at a benefit and went an met him. My planned 15 minute conversation about starting lessons turned into a 2 hour conversation about music. I knew how to play songs, but didn’t know how to play music. In the 8 short weeks I have been going to Senchant’s, my guitar skill level has improved almost two fold and I am learning music. I would say to anyone who is interested in playing the guitar, Go and talk to Bernie. He is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and he designs his lessons based on the needs and ability of the student. His other instructors, for drums, piano, and voice, all share the same passion for music and teaching it, that Bernie does. You can’t go wrong with Senchant’s Art of Teaching.”

“I can’t say enough good things about this place. I took piano lessons here with Michael earlier this year and had an excellent experience. He’s a nice guy, and a Berklee-trained pianist. He taught me both how to sight-read sheet music and how to play on my own. He passed on several tricks to understand how to remember the notes and chords, and in the beginning he helped me acquire a keyboard-or rather a digital piano with weighted keys-to practice on at home. I have experience with other instruments, so I picked up the piano fairly quickly.
Senchant’s is an amazing place. I wish I had a shop like that in my town when I was growing up. Bernie (the owner) has such a great vision for teaching music that is so valuable for both kids and grown-ups and Canton as a whole. He teaches the individual kids, but also has a band program where he groups them up and shows them how to play songs together based off of lead sheets. Then he puts on concerts a couple times a year. You should see these kids play! He’s got kids writing their own stuff, and bands rocking out to Led Zeppelin and The White Stripes.
When my boys get older I’m going to proudly send them to Senchant’s. With music and band programs being cut from school curriculums, it feels great to have such a solid alternative right here in my own community.”

“I started guitar lessons with Bernard seven years ago at age 60. He was able to start me off with a solid foundation in the music theory I needed as I needed it. Although he is an accomplished Berklee trained guitar player, he patiently helped me through my beginner struggles and encouraged me toward the plateaus that were just out of reach.
Bernard’s friendly, professional style made it fun and challenging for me to learn how to play. I recommend Bernard as a music teacher or recording coach. Thanks, in large part to Bernard, I now think of myself as a guitar player.”

“This guy Bernie is awesome. If your in the area and want to learn and get excited to learn you’ll love this guy. Not like any other teacher I’ve had when I was young. I REALLY want to practice the lessons from him. He works with any age and rocks!”

“Bernard taught our 14 year old son guitar for about 4-5 years when Michael was younger! It was one of the best things that we ever did. It taught Michael how to embrace an instrument and to use his imagination. We will be sitting down relaxing and we will hear this beautiful sound coming from Michael’s room. Me and my wife Stephenie will both look at each other and think of Bernard with fond memories. We are forever grateful to Bernard for teaching Michael that life for a boy is not all about sports. Michael plays constantly for his girlfriend and she really loves it. What great memories thanks to Bernard.”

“Bernard is one of the best teachers around this area. The studio is amazing, open and fantastic for students of any and all ages. Bernard tailors his lessons to each individual student allowing even a very basic beginner to pick up guitar very quickly. He is always working with each student to help them achieve their goals and be successful in a very positive way. There’s no better place to learn your instrument quickly and with confidence than Senchant’s Art of Teaching.”

“My son started taking guitar lessons from Bernie in 2012 and has enjoyed every lesson. Bernie does a great job keeping the lessons fun and motivating him to practice without compromising teaching proper guitar techniques. I’m impressed with Bernie and how my son has taken to his guitar. Thank you Bernie.”

“Areas best lesson facility is no joke. Not your typical closet sized lesson room. Clean, sunny and a large space that screams “Come Play.” Bernard is truly an amazing teacher, he’s well rounded in all styles of music and pretty much can teach anyone any instrument that comes with strings!! Thumbs up for Senchant’s Art of Teaching!”

“Bernard is the best guitar teacher I’ve ever come across! I have had several over the years. I would not hesitate to recommend his studio! He is an extremely talented educator and musician! Keep on rockin \m/”

“Having taken up the guitar in my late 20s, I can think of no better teacher than Bernie to have started with. His approach to teaching is terrific, as he tailors it to each student individually. Bernie lets you pick the songs that you want to learn which helps engage the student and he doesn’t have a “one size fits all” lesson plan. Again, being an adult and potentially having an instructor trying to force me to play “Mary Had a Little Lamb” would get me nowhere. Bernie is also incredibly patient with his students and thinks of creative ways to make playing easier. As someone who probably has hands better suited for drumming, Bernie has plenty of tricks to help me overcome those obstacles. Bernie has and continues to be a great teacher, and more importantly is a great person which makes going to each lesson a pleasure.”

“Best in the area! The best teachers are talented, inspirational and patient. Bernie & Marian are all that and more. Highly recommended!!”
